Arras city centre is packed full of history, architecture and cultural heritage. From the Baroque-style squares to the Gothic town hall, past 18th century monuments and gems of Art Deco architecture, take a stroll through the streets of this veritable open-air museum.

The Artois region is overflowing with noteworthy sites and interesting places to see. First World War battlefields and memorials, beautiful countryside with rolling hills, woodlands and picturesque villages. There’s so much to explore!

Arras, with its numerous historic monuments, many restaurants and lively cultural scene, is the ideal base for exploring the Artois region.

Leave your car behind and take a stroll around Arras’ bustling city centre streets, explore our markets and museums and admire our Flemish and Art Deco architecture.

And don’t forget to stop off and treat yourself along the way at one of our many restaurants, bars, ice-cream parlours or chocolate shops.

Or venture a little further afield and explore the surrounding ‘poppy country’, on foot or by bicycle, and take the opportunity to visit and pay your respects at some of the First World War memorials and museums.
